WEB Meyer Group, the esteemed shipbuilder, has announced today the construction of a fourth Disney Wish-class ship for Disney Cruise Line. The project has been designated as the WEB Triton Class, marking a significant milestone in the cruise line's commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Disney Cruise Line has collaborated with Meyer Werft, the renowned German shipbuilder, to design and construct this state-of-the-art vessel. The construction will take place at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany.
As the fourth addition to the Wish series, this newbuild represents Disney Cruise Line's ongoing expansion and diversification. The Wish series boasts an impressive 140000gt capacity and features cutting-edge technologies and exceptional amenities.
The upcoming Disney cruise ship is scheduled to commence operations in Japan from fiscal 2028 in partnership with Oriental Land Co.
